Guilherme Jarbas Barbosa de Santana deixou o palco da vida e, assim como outros personagens, entrou definitivamente para a Hist\u00f3ria. \u00c0 parte a par\u00e1frase, Guilherme sabia exatamente o valor e a import\u00e2ncia que tivera em diversos ramos profissionais no Amap\u00e1. Inquieto e incans\u00e1vel, nosso estimado colega e amigo era verdadeiramente apaixonado pelo conhecimento e n\u00e3o se acanhava frente aos desafios: do jornalismo \u00e0 advocacia, da radiodifus\u00e3o \u00e0 sala de aula, deixou sua marca e pioneirismo em tudo o que fez.<\/p><p>Em qualquer evento social ou acad\u00eamico, Guilherme se destacava n\u00e3o somente pelo relato de suas diversas experi\u00eancias e feitos, mas pelo entusiasmo de sua fala, a lucidez de suas an\u00e1lises e a inabal\u00e1vel combatividade de quem jamais se acomodou diante do que considerava errado ou injusto. Mesmo aposentado (compulsoriamente por idade, importante lembrar), ele olhava adiante, para o que ainda precisava ser feito, e instigava-nos a fazer o mesmo.<\/p><p>Como professor da Universidade Federal do Amap\u00e1, Guilherme Jarbas formou gera\u00e7\u00f5es de profissionais da \u00e1rea de Hist\u00f3ria, alguns dos quais retornaram \u00e0 UNIFAP como professores e tiveram a honrosa satisfa\u00e7\u00e3o de trabalhar ao lado do grande mestre, al\u00e9m de tantos outros ex-alunos que hoje atuam em diferentes institui\u00e7\u00f5es de ensino e pesquisa. Nos \u00faltimos anos, orgulhava-se de ver os cursos que coordenou por mais de uma d\u00e9cada, e aos quais dedicou boa parte da vida, se expandirem formando seus pr\u00f3prios mestres p\u00f3s-graduados, n\u00e3o obstante as dificuldades da atual conjuntura. Haveremos de fazer muito mais, em sua mem\u00f3ria.<\/p><p>N\u00e3o h\u00e1 palavras que expressem o profundo pesar e ang\u00fastia pelo falecimento de nosso amado colega, insubstitu\u00edvel amigo e irretoc\u00e1vel profissional. Como indiv\u00edduo sua chama se apagou. Felizmente, as luzes espalhadas pela sua extraordin\u00e1ria vida, inigual\u00e1vel gentileza e inabal\u00e1vel alegria espalharam-se imperscrutavelmente e jamais se extinguir\u00e3o. Guilherme Jarbas Barbosa de Santana viver\u00e1 n\u00e3o somente em nossos cora\u00e7\u00f5es e lembran\u00e7as, mas em tudo o que representam e tudo o que realizarem os cursos de Hist\u00f3ria da UNIFAP, uma das suas maiores e mais importantes marcas deixadas no mundo. Adeus, mestre, adeus grande amigo.
