{"id":2957,"date":"2025-06-01T13:21:52","date_gmt":"2025-06-01T13:21:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.unifap.br\/rsmatos\/?p=2957"},"modified":"2025-06-11T10:48:13","modified_gmt":"2025-06-11T10:48:13","slug":"congratulations-to-aila-brandao-on-her-final-undergraduate-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.unifap.br\/rsmatos\/congratulations-to-aila-brandao-on-her-final-undergraduate-work\/","title":{"rendered":"Congratulations to Aila Brand\u00e3o on Her Final Undergraduate Work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"295\" data-end=\"784\">The Amazonian Materials Research Group proudly congratulates student <strong data-start=\"364\" data-end=\"380\">Aila Brand\u00e3o<\/strong> on the successful defense of her final undergraduate work, entitled <em data-start=\"452\" data-end=\"582\">\u201c<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www2.unifap.br\/rsmatos\/files\/2025\/05\/TCC_AILA_GUILIANA.pdf\">Investigando a rela\u00e7\u00e3o optico-estrutural de nanocomp\u00f3sitos bin\u00e1rios \u03b1\u2012Fe<sub>2<\/sub>O<sub>3<\/sub>\/Fe<sub>3<\/sub>O<sub>4<\/sub>&nbsp;sintetizados por uma rota sol-gel verde<\/a><\/strong>\u201d<\/em> The defense was held on <strong data-start=\"607\" data-end=\"625\">April 25, 2025<\/strong>, on the <strong data-start=\"655\" data-end=\"695\">Federal University of Amap\u00e1<\/strong>, marking a significant academic achievement for both the student and our research group.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"786\" data-end=\"1432\">Developed under the supervision of the group leader Robert Matos, Aila\u2019s research focused on exploring the structural and optical properties of environmentally synthesized binary nanocomposites composed of hematite (\u03b1-Fe\u2082O\u2083) and magnetite (Fe\u2083O\u2084). The study employed a green sol-gel synthesis route, aligned with the principles of sustainable chemistry, to obtain these nanomaterials. Through detailed characterization and analysis, the project aimed to elucidate how structural variations impact optical behavior, a relationship of great relevance for photocatalytic applications, especially in the treatment of polluted water and environmental remediation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"1434\" data-end=\"1846\">The thesis underscores the growing importance of eco-friendly synthesis techniques and advanced materials characterization in the field of nanoscience. Aila\u2019s dedication and her ability to engage critically with scientific challenges reflect the core mission of the Amazonian Materials Research Group: to empower and train students in the Amazon region to conduct innovative, responsible, and impactful research.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"1848\" data-end=\"2341\">Beyond its technical contributions, this defense also reflects our group\u2019s enduring commitment to human capital formation in the field of materials science. In a region marked by urgent socio-environmental challenges, the development of local experts capable of addressing complex technological and ecological issues is not just valuable, it is essential.
