V Seminar on Regional Development: Amazonia, Sustainability and Good Living

ABOUT THE EVENT

The V Seminar on Regional Development, organized by professors, students, graduates, and administrative staff of the Postgraduate Program in Sustainable Amazon Development (PPGDAS) at the Federal University of Amapá (UNIFAP), with support from students of the Sociology and Technology in Secretariat course at UNIFAP, honours 20 years of teaching, research, and extension activities carried out by PPGDAS.
The event aims to engage the internal and external UNIFAP community on themes inherent to the Program's research: Urban and Rural Planning, Socio-biodiversity, Local Production Systems, Traditional Communities, Regional Asymmetries, Development, and Good Living (Buen Vivir).
PPGDAS is, in its genesis, grounded in the debate on development as a confrontation with the exploitative logic of our society. It seeks to build tools that support public policies aimed at reducing social inequalities in the Amazon, contributing to greater social, economic, and environmental sustainability.
